The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice held a conference on March 14 to deal with the granting of Vietnamese citizenship to non-nationality people.

Accordingly, those people who have been residing permanently in the city for more than 20 years will be provided with Vietnamese citizenship.

This move aims to help non-nationality people in HCM City to enjoy civil rights and stabilize their lives in Vietnam.

The deadline for People’s Committees at all levels in charge of receiving dossiers from applicants is December 31, 2012.
