Government secures safe return of kidnapped fisherman
VOV.VN - A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Monday, August 21, that Do Trung Hieu, one of the kidnapped fishermen in the Philippines late last year is now safe and on his way home, reports the Vietnam News Agency.

Hieu along with five shipmates aboard the M/V Royal 16 fishing boat were kidnapped 10 nautical miles west-southwest of Sibagu Island in Basilan, the Philippines in November 2016.
The six kidnapped crewmen were captain Pham Minh Tuan, Do Trung Hieu, Hoang Vo, Tran Khuong Dung, Hoang Van Hai and Hoang Trung Thong.
