The central province of Thanh Hoa will receive US$794,000, while the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai will get, US$158,000. 

Two irrigation works, Bac Hung Hai and Bac Nam Ha, each will be granted US$265,000. 
This is the third time this year funds have been provided for drought mitigation. 

Last month, the Government contributed US$2.5 million to six northern provinces and US$7.65 million to 13 Mekong Delta provinces. 

The other provinces to benefit from the latest funding are Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho in the northeastern region; Hai Phong, Bac Ninh and Ninh Binh in the Hong (Red) River Delta; Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri in the central region and Binh Dinh in the south-central region.
