Do Hai Long, a student at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, secured the gold medal for Vietnam in the MOS Word 365 Apps category. In another notable achievement, Luong Son Tung of the Foreign Trade University managed to claim the bronze medal in the MOS Excel 365 Apps category.

Most notably, all Vietnamese contestants were placed among the global Top 10, thereby contributing to the team’s strong overall performance and earning them a spot among the top five strongest teams at this year's competition.

“This is an achievement I’ve gained through tireless effort. It also serves as motivation for me to strive even harder in the future,” Hai Long shared following the ceremony.

The 2025 season extends Vietnam’s proud track record at the MOS World Championship. To date, Vietnamese contestants have earned 23 medals, including five gold, four silver, and 14 bronze.

Doan Nguyen Van Khanh, CEO of IIG Vietnam Education, the organizer of the Vietnam national competition, noted that Vietnam’s consistent success over the past 16 years at the world finals affirms the talent and intellect of the country’s younger generation.

“This proves Vietnam's young generation is ready to compete with technological powerhouses worldwide," Khanh stated.

"It also shows they're equipped with crucial skills to confidently navigate future international learning and work environments, contributing to Vietnam's educational and national development," she noted.

Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship – Viettel 2024 opens in Hanoi
