Prominent among those at the function were Speaker of the Slovak National Council Pavol Paska and his wife, General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations Dao Duy Tien and Slovak Ambassador to Vietnam Peter Svitek.

Speaker Paska expressed his hope that generations of Vietnamese and Slovaks would uphold the tradition of friendship between the two countries.

The Vice President of the Vietnam-Slovakia Friendship Association, Vu Ngoc Bao, affirmed that Vietnamese people who had lived, studied and worked in Slovakia would strive to enhance bilateral relations and contribute to developing the ties in all fields.
