The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has agreed to provide nearly €225,000 (approximately VND4.5 billion) for the Vietnamese Women and Youth Assistance Association in Germany (VIFI) to build 400 houses for disadvantaged people in the country.
The project will benefit poor people in northern mountainous Cao Bang, central coastal Ninh Thuan and southern Ben Tre and Ca Mau provinces, said VIFI Chairwoman Nguyen Thi My Hanh.
It will be implemented from now until September 2007 in response to the "Fund for the Poor" campaign launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
