The Truong Thanh Furniture Corporation, in cooperation with the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), has opened a training centre for wood processing workers in Central Highland Dak Lak province.

The 1,000 sq.m centre, built at a cost of US$420,000, will provide regular and short-term training courses for workers, technicians and managers of wood processing establishments in Dak Lak and its neighbouring provinces.

In the first two years, the centre will pay training fees for participants.

According to economists, the wood processing sector is facing a shortage of qualified workers, technicians and managers. So it is necessary to improve the content of the training courses to meet increasing demand for indoor furniture in the world.
