This was announced by Andre Bouny at the head office of the Vietnamese Association in Paris on June 8. He said his new book is entitled “Agent Orange – disaster in Vietnam”
Can Van Kiet, a member of the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Association in France who runs the Vietnamese House in Paris, said that the book is a valuable manuscript which contains a lot of information and evaluations by historians and environmental experts on the effect of Agent Orange after the US army used it in Vietnam during the war from 1960-1970. The book helps readers to gain a better understanding on the long-term consequences of Agent Orange/Dioxin on Vietnam’s environment and its people.
It is a huge contribution to the Vietnamese AO victims’ struggle for justice. “I was moved to tears when I met Andre Bouny,” said Mr Kiet. Even though he is disabled and confined to a wheelchair, he has spent a lot of time and effort supporting Vietnamese AO victims.
The book will also be introduced in some other French cities.
