Visually-impaired children in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue have been given a new dormitory for better living and studying conditions via a French-funded project.
The inauguration of the facility at the provincial Vocational Guidance Education Centre for Blind Children was held by Thua Thien-Hue provincial Blind Association on November 28.
The French Hope Childhood Association donated almost VND1 billion (about US$47,000) to fund the total construction cost of VND1.2 billion.
Earlier, the French association granted more than US$16.5 million to upgrade the functional rehabilitation room at the centre.
