A 51-year-old man in Ho Chi Minh City has died of the A/H1N1 virus, increasing the number of pandemic’s fatalities in Vietnam to four.

September 8 alone witnessed another 173 people testing positive to the A/H1N1 virus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 3,950 so far, reported the Ministry of Health.

Of the people who became infected, 3,249 have already been released from hospital. The remaining patients are still in quarantine and undergoing treatment. All are in a stable condition.

The Ministry of Health has warned those people who have symptoms such as a fever, coughing and a sore throat to stay away from schools and their work places and immediately have medical check-ups or tests if need be.
