Four medals for students at Int’l Olympiad in Russia

VOV.VN - Vietnamese students were awarded four medals in informatics at the 28th International Olympiad recently held at Yakutsk, Russia, according to the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training.

The students successfully won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal in informatics, one of four subjects at the Olympiad competing in Mathematics, Informatics, Physics and Chemistry.

Phan Duc Nhat Minh and Pham Cao Nguyen both from the High School for Gifted Students at Hanoi University, each won a gold medal.

Meanwhile, their schoolmates Tran Tuan Phat and Le Quang Tuan were respectively awarded a silver and bronze medal.

Overall, the Vietnam delegation ranked seventh among the 81 participating countries, the nation’s best showing since the year 2000 competition.
