A documentary titled "The Last Ghost of War" showing Vietnamese Agent Orange victims' lawsuit against American chemical producers is scheduled to be screened in the US in late February.

The 57-minute footage was directed by Janet Gardner of the Gardner Documentary Group. Pham Quoc Thai, an overseas Vietnamese, also took part in shooting the documentary.

The documentary focuses on the three groups of people exposed to Agent Orange, including Vietnamese victims, American war veterans of the Vietnam war, and ex-workers at US chemical factories.

War veterans, lawyers and historians in both Vietnam and the US will also appear in the film to help provide thorough insight into the use of the defoliant during the Vietnam war, Mr Thai said.

Via the film, which will be screened before the US Federal Court of Appeal's mid-year hearing on the Vietnamese Agent Orange victims' lawsuit, the producers highlighted the fact that Agent Orange victims, regardless of nationality, require justice and compensation.

As planned, "The Last Ghost of War" will make its first debut at Rutger University in New Jersey on February 24, in Rider University in late March and Princeton University during April.

Producers plan to introduce it to the Asia Society in New York in April.
