128 heads of cattle have been infected with the foot-and-mouth disease in Vinh Lai commune, Van Quan district, and in Tan Lang commune, Van Lang district, in the northern province of Lang Son.
The Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee has asked the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and other relevant agencies to take prompt and effective measures to curb the spread of the disease.
Previously, on November 26, 2009, the Committee confirmed the first outbreak of the disease in Binh Gia and Trang Dinh districts.
