The Nguyen Hue Flower Street opened in Ho Chi Minh City on January 23 to welcome the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) – the Year of the Buffalo -- which falls on January 26.

Thousands of visitors will have the chance to enjoy a variety of flowers arranged in different shapes, including the buffalo, and take photographs with their relatives and friends.

The street has become a tourist attraction over the years not only for city dwellers but also for people from neighbouring provinces, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners on the occasion of Tet.

This year, flowers are being displayed along the street through January 28.
