Five houses collapse in Lam Dong’s landslide

The landslide was triggered by prolonged heavy rains. A huge amount of stones and mud fell down from the above hills over dwelling houses. Luckily, the landslide caused no casualties as households’ members had escaped before the houses collapsed.

Immediately after the incident, relevant forces were mobilized to help people handle the consequences and move to safe areas.

Nguyen Trung Kien, chairman of Bao Lam district People’s Committee, says all 11 households in the landslide-hit area have been evacuated. All production and travel activities in the area are temporarily banned.
