Five former provincial Party Secretaries to be prosecuted in Phuc Son Group case
VOV.VN - The Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security has completed its investigation and proposed prosecuting 41 defendants, including five former provincial Party Secretaries in a case related to Phuc Son Group JSC.

Among the defendants, Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, former secretary of the Vinh Phuc provincial Party Committee, and Le Viet Chu, former secretary of the Quang Ngai provincial Party Committee, were proposed for prosecution on charges of “receiving bribes”.
Meanwhile, Pham Van Vong, former secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, Ngo Duc Vuong, former secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, and Nguyen Doan Khanh, former secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee were proposed for prosecution on charges of “abuse of power while performing official duties”.
Other high-ranking officials also facing prosecution include Le Duy Thanh, former chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee, former deputy secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee; Pham Hoang Anh, former deputy secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Khuoc, former vice chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee; and Cao Khoa, former chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee.
Other defendants are expected to face charges such as violations of accounting/bidding regulations causing serious consequences, and abusing influence over officials for personal gain.
These officials are accused of violating laws during the implementation of certain projects and bidding packages in localities related to Phuc Son Group JSC.
Nguyen Van Hau, chairman of the Board of Directors of Phuc Son Group JSC, has been recommended for prosecution by the investigating agency on three charges of violation of accounting regulations causing serious consequences; violation of accounting regulations causing serious consequences; and bribery.
Hau and other defendants are accused of committing legal violations and offering large bribes in several projects and bidding packages in four localities, namely Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Quang Ngai and Vinh Long.
The case involves a massive asset seizure, including 1,440 real estate properties, 43 frozen savings books and bank accounts, over VND41 billion in cash, 534 taels of gold, and more than US$1 million. This reflects the scale of financial misconduct and the significant bribes involved in the case.
