Fishing boat sinks in central Vietnam, four crew members go missing

VOV.VN - A fishing boat with four people onboard sank on March 18 afternoon in the central province of Nghe An, leaving four crew unaccounted for.

According to local authorities, the fishing boat sank while it was on the way back to shore. At the time, the boat was about five to six nautical miles from Mat (Eye) Island.

Four crew members, including captain Nguyen Van Cuong, 45, Tran Van Huu, 30, Le Tuan Anh, 20, and Bui Sy Nhat, 48, remain missing.

The cause of the incident has yet to be confirmed.

Upon receiving the news, local authorities have mobilised a rescue team and called on relevant agencies to cooperate in searching for the missing.
