Fishermen rescued off the coast of Nghe An
VOV.VN -The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) declared that it had rescued 17 fishermen aboard their ship on May 26 following their vessel suffering from mechanical problems.
The boat and the crew members aboard were put in danger due to the ongoing northeastern monsoon which caused strong winds and thick fog.
Upon receiving the news of the vessel adrift at sea, the MRCC dispatched its rescue ship SAR 273 to initiate a search for the fishing boat.
Following a 10-hour search operation, the fishing boat with all 17 fishermen on board was rescued and successfully towed to the port of Nghe An.
