First Vietnamese woman reaches summit of Mount Everest

VOV.VN - Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha, also known as Céline Nha Nguyen, has become the first Vietnamese woman to conquer the summit of Mount Everest.

Nha is a member of Seven Summit Treks, an agency which organises expeditions to Nepal.

She successfully completed her climb of the peak of Mount Everest at 3:30 a.m. on May 16 (local time).

Mount Everest is renowned for being the “roof of the world” as it stands at 8,849 metres high above sea level and is located between the border of Nepal and Tibet in China, in the Himalayas.

At present, Nha works a lawyer in Ho Chi Minh City.

In January this year she successfully conquered Mount Vinson, which stands at a height of 4,892 metres, the highest peak in Antarctica.
