Google Developer Experts (GDEs) network unveiled on April 9 that Nguyen Khanh Linh of Vietnam and Punsiri Boonyakiat of Thailand were named the two new female experts in the network.

Linh is a highly experienced AI researcher and practitioner with over 13 years in the field, specialising in NLP, Machine Learning, and Data Science. As the Head of AI at Obello Company in San Francisco in the United States, she is at the forefront of developing generative AI solutions for creative design automation.

She is Vietnam's first female Google Developer Expert and the first Machine Learning Google Developer Expert in the Generative AI category. She holds a Master's degree in Knowledge Engineering/AI from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and was recognised as a "Top AI Voice" on LinkedIn in 2024.

She is also the founder of Beautiful Mind Vietnam, a community which boasts over 200,000 followers. As an active speaker since 2016, Linh has shared her expertise at numerous tech events, including Google I/O Extended Hanoi.

The GDEs programme is a global network comprised of experienced technologists who are recognised by Google for their expertise and contributions to the developer community.

So far, Vietnam has had nine male Google experts working in different technology areas including two AI/Machine Learning experts, one Android expert, four Cloud Computing experts, one Workspace expert, and one Angular expert to support the development of single-page applications (SPAs).
