Thirty people in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong have completed a training course on theology organised by the Vietnam Protestant Church of the South.

The course was the first of its kind held in Dak Nong province.
Pastor R. Mah Loan said from Bu Dak village in Thuan An commune, the graduates will then go to ethnic minority areas to help local people understand State laws relating to religions while practising Protestanism.

According to the provincial board responsible for religion-related affairs, a similar course will be held for about 30 people aimed at creating favourable conditions for ethnic minority people to practise their faith.

There are six Protestant Church chapters in Dak Nong province and 52 places of worship in Dak Mil, Krong No, Dak R'Lap and Dak Song districts with more than 40,000 followers.

The provincial authorities have facilitated the construction of facilities and the promotion of socio-economic development for Protestants.
