First Omicron community case in Hanoi recovers
VOV.VN - The first locally acquired Omicron case in Hanoi capital has recovered from the virus, the Hanoi Department of Health announced on January 26 evening.
Earlier the same day, municipal health authorities confirmed the first Omicron case in the community - a female room cleaner at Grand Vista hotel in Hanoi.
The female employee, 32, served groups of guests returning from overseas in quarantine at the hotel from December 28, 2021 to January 9, 2022. Seven of the guests were infected with the Omicron variant.
She was isolated in the hotel in line with COVID-19 guidelines and tested positive on January 9. The 32-year-old woman was confirmed late on January 26 that she had recovered from the disease.
Hanoi has so far recorded 14 Omicron infections, including a community case.
Meanwhile, the city announced 2,884 new coronavirus infections on January 26, raising its cumulative tally of infections to 120,419.
