First A/H1N1 case detected in Khanh Hoa
(VOV) - The Director of the Khanh Hoa provincial Department of Health Bui Xuan Minh on February 12 confirmed the first case of A/H1N1 in the locality.
The patient, 30, from Vinh Thanh ward in Nha Trang City, was hospitalised on February 5 with flu-like symptoms of coughing, breathing difficultly, seriously respiratory inefficiency and viscera failure.
His blood sample tested positive for the deadly avian flu strain A/H1N1.
The patient is receiving intensive care at Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
