Finland will provide EUR3 million in non-refundable aid to implement the initial stage of the Innovation Partnership Programme in Vietnam.
A document to this effect was signed in Hanoi on July 23 by the representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The programme aims to support Vietnam’s development goals so that Vietnam will become an industrialized nation with an average income.
The programme will create an institutional environment for creativity, improve management capacities in term of science and technology and promote cooperation between the State and the private sector.
The Vietnamese government is committed to contributing some VND9.5 billion to the three-year programme, which will begin in August.
