A get-together for overseas Vietnamese was held on April 23 in Bangladesh’s capital city of Dakka on the occasion of Hung Kings’ death anniversary and the 35th anniversary of national reunification (April 30).
At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Van That praised the affections and contributions of Vietnamese people in Bangladesh to their fatherland.
He called on the Vietnamese community to always keep in mind their origin, make a greater contribution to their homeland while preserving the traditional culture of Vietnamese people.
The Ambassador also highlighted important events to be hosted in Vietnam including the 1,000 anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and the 120th birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh.
