Expansion project launched for President Ho Chi Minh Site in Thailand
VOV.VN - A contract signing ceremony was held in Udon Thani province, northeastern Thailand, on June 16, for the construction of the Conference Hall, as part of the expansion project of the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site.

The project, costing approximately THB22 million (equivalent to US$680,000), is expected to be carried out over three years and inaugurated in 2028, marking the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s arrival in Thailand (1928 - 2028).
Once completed, the Conference Hall will accommodate around 400 people and serve as a venue for major events and important gatherings of the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani, particularly during key national celebrations such as Vietnam’s National Day (September 2) and President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19).
At the signing ceremony, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh highlighted the significance of the project, which he said could create more space for cultural and community activities for the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani.
The Consul General praised the efforts of the Vietnamese expatriates and the site’s management board in preserving the great cultural values associated with President Ho Chi Minh. He also expressed hope that the community would continue to uphold unity, strengthen cultural promotion, and spread the fine traditions of the Vietnamese people both within the Vietnamese community and to the Thai public and international friends.
On this occasion, philanthropists from the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani and Nong Khai province contributed over THB1 million (more than US$30,000) to support the project’s implementation.
