Exchange marks Armenia National Day
VOV.VN - The Vietnam-Armenia Friendship Association (VAFA) held a cultural exchange on September 17 in Hanoi for Vietnamese alumni from Armenian Universities to mark the 25th anniversary of the former soviet republic’s independence.
At the event, VAFA President Nguyen Van Thuan affirmed that the Vietnamese people will always remember the valuable support of Armenia for the country during the past struggle for national independence.
After Armenia declared independence on July 14, 1992, he said, the two nations quickly established diplomatic ties and ever since have cooperated extensively in a wide range of cultural, economic and political areas.
Armenia Ambassador to Vietnam Raisa Vardanyan in turn said he believes relations between the two countries is deep rooted and will flourish with much greater intensity in the future.
