A delegation of the Inter European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (IEPEFD) will visit Vietnam from November 23-25, announced the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on November 14.

The visit is part of a project on reproductive health for teenagers and young people in Vietnam jointly implemented by the European Union and the UNFPA.

The IEPEFD delegation will include 10 law makers from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, France, Latvia, Portugal and Russia.

The visit aims to review the implementation of the US$2.4 million "Reproductive Health Initiative for Youth in Asia (RHIYA)" programme, in seven Vietnamese provinces from 2003 to 2006.

The non-profit IEPEFD, with its headquarters in Brussels (Belgium), was established in 2000 to deal with issues relating to population, development, reproductive health and gender.
