Embassy holds Spring Festival in Malaysia
(VOV) -The 2013 Vietnamese Spring Festival was officially opened on January 18 at Hock Choon supermarket in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
The festival’s opening attracted a variety of Vietnamese enterprises and representative agencies located in Malaysia, including Vietnam Airlines and PetroVietnam.
Commodities displayed at the festival include lacquered ware, silk, newspapers, magazines, and many regional specialties.
The fair aims to enhance understandings of of Vietnam’s land and people as well as to promote traditional Vietnamese products.
It is also a valuable opportunity for embassy staff members and overseas Vietnamese to meet and celebrate their culture on the occasion of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The event is part of activities marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Malaysia.
