EAS Congress Ministerial Forum opens in Danang
(VOV) - The East Asian Seas (EAS) Ministerial Forum opened on November 20 in Danang as part of the 5th EAS congress with the participation of representatives from East Asian and international organizations.
“The goal of the forum is to perform a comprehensive assessment of sustainable development goals,” said Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang in a keynote address.
Quang urged participants to put forth concrete proposals to provide both the vision and the commitment to address a Post-2015 agenda and resolve the major issues of our time.

He specifically identified poverty eradication, peace and security, safe and sufficient food, sustainable energy, pollution prevention and control, water and the environment as the issues he considered prime.
