Earthquakes recorded in Dien Bien and Quang Nam

VOV.VN - The Earthquake and Tsunami Warning Center under the Institute of Geophysics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, reported a magnitude 3.5 earthquake in Muong Cha district, northern Dien Bien province on May 23 morning.

The quake occurred at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers, with its epicenter located at 21.743°N and 103.146°E. It was assessed as posing no natural disaster risk (level 0).

Earlier the same morning, a magnitude 3.0 earthquake was also recorded in Phuoc Son district, central Quang Nam province, with a focal depth of about 8.3 kilometers. This quake was likewise classified as level 0 for natural disaster risk.

The center stated that it is still continuing to closely monitor both earthquakes.
