Dutch tourists rescued after getting lost in Quang Tri forest

VOV.VN - Police and local residents in Con Tien Commune, central Quang Tri province, braved the forest late on October 6 to rescue two Dutch tourists who had lost their way.

Earlier that evening, the two tourists were riding large-capacity motorbikes along the Ho Chi Minh road when they mistakenly entered a forested area of Con Tien amid rain and weak mobile signal coverage.

Following a tip-off from local residents, commune police joined villagers in a nighttime search using flashlights and later deployed a specialized tractor to navigate the rough terrain.

After several hours of effort, the two tourists and their motorbikes were brought safely out of the forest. They said they had followed directions on a mobile map application before realizing they were lost, and expressed gratitude to local residents and police officers for their timely rescue.
