Dr Joël Leroy awarded ‘Vietnam Friendship Order’
VOV.VN - Dr Joël Leroy, a pioneer in minimally invasive surgery, has been awarded the Friendship Order, one of the most prestigious Vietnamese distinctions.

The order was conferred upon the French surgeon at a ceremony held at the Saint Paul Hospital in Hanoi in recognition of his significant contributions to healthcare and the Vietnam-French relationship.
In accepting the award, Dr Leroy said he was profoundly grateful for this extraordinary honour that has been bestowed upon him on behalf of the Prime Minister and the proud people of Vietnam.
Speaking at the conferral ceremony, Nguyen Duc Chung, chair of the Hanoi People’s Committee, commended the world famous surgeon for his innovative works in colorectal surgery, among his many contributions that have benefited Vietnamese healthcare tremendously.
