Distressed squid fishing vessel in the waters of Truong Sa archipelago
VOV.VN - About 44 crew members have been rescued from a squid-catching ship after it suffered an engine failure and began drifting in the waters near Truong Sa archipelago on June 21, according to the Border Guard High Command of the central province of Quang Nam.
At 6am on June 22, the fishing vessel Qna 90927 TS, owned by Tran Tan Sinh of Tam Giang commune, Nui Thanh district, approached the vessel Qna 91379. However, due to inclement weather and rough seas, the fishing vessel Qna 90927 could not tow the squid fishing boat to shore.
The relevant agencies have remained in contact and closely cooperated to bring the stricken vessel to the safety of the mainland. At present, all crew members of the crippled vessel are in stable health.
