After attending the cultural exchange entitled “Meet Vietnam 2009” in the US, the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong visited doctor Bui Duy Tam, a Vietnamese resident in San Francisco.

Also present there were many Vietnamese and American professors, students and friends of doctor Tam.

The Deputy PM highlighted the great contributions made by Mr Tam to the Vietnamese community in the US and to the homeland.

Mr Tam said he was deeply moved by the visit and the State’s care policy for overseas Vietnamese.

Doctor Tam, now nearly 80 years old, was the former headmaster of the Sai Gon and Hue Universities of Medicine.
