General Thanh highlighted the great and effective assistance of Russian scientists and experts to Vietnam during the long-term process of preserving President Ho Chi Minh’s embalmed body. 

He said the Vietnamese party, State and people will always remember the Russian experts’ assistance in providing techniques, equipment, and personnel training for Vietnamese officials to carry on with preservation work. 

For his part, Iarugin Vladimir Nikititch, of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, said he hopes that Russian scientists will have more opportunities to cooperate with their Vietnamese partners in future preservation efforts.
