The central city of Da Nang officially opened its new Software Centre on April 29.

The centre will focus on technical infrastructure such as information technology, telecoms and communications, database integration and training, providing services for the digital and software industries and other activities in these fields.

The centre includes a 21-storey building, which was built at a cost of VND200 billion.

So far it has attracted 24 IT enterprises, with a total investment capital of VND300 billion. The Juniper group from the US has also selected the building to house its New Generation Network (NGN) Technology and Applications Laboratory and a training centre.

The same day, a portal for Da Nang city’s administration was also launched.
