The cruise ship Legend of the Sea, carrying 1,500 passengers and crew, docked in Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh on February 9. The ship is owned by the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
Tan Hong Trading and Tourism Co. Ltd has welcomed and taken them on sightseeing tours of the area.
Earlier this year, Ha Long Bay welcomed three other big cruise ships carrying 2,300 tourists from Europe, the Republic of Korea and the US, a promising start for Quang Ninh’s tourism industry in 2010.
The province hopes to attract 5.2 million visitors and earn tourism revenues of VND3,000 billion by the end of this year.
