Criminal proceedings begin against former VRG officials
The Ministry of Public Security’s Police Investigation Agency on December 12 issued a decision launching criminal proceedings against five former officials of the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) accused of deliberately violating State rules on economic management.

The criminal proceedings included a search warrant and legal preventive measures needed to be taken against the five accused, following a decision issued on December 6 by the ministry’s investigative police and investigations conducted on the case in accordance with Article 165 of the Criminal Code.
Police said they were expanding the investigation of the case.
