Under the theme “Our money, our rights”, Consumers International, which is the global campaigning voice for consumers, will focus on protecting consumer rights in the financial sector as the use of financial services is growing in popularity, according to MoIT Deputy Minister Le Danh Vinh.
A draft law on consumer rights protection is about to be completed and is scheduled to be submitted to the government in March, says Mr Vinh, adding that the issuance of the law, which is expected to be approved by the National Assembly in October, will create a solid legal framework for the consumer rights protection in Vietnam.
The day is part of the activities in response to World Consumer Rights Day 2010.
