Phung Khanh Tai, member of the Union’s Central Committee, said the exchange aims to increase understanding of the needs of young Vietnamese and create an effective connection among those studying and working in Vietnam and in foreign countries.

The online exchange is expected to strengthen solidarity among young Vietnamese over the world.

The event will also be a forum for participants to exchange opinions on Party and State policies and put forward their initiatives for the cause of national construction and defence.

Present for the online exchange will be representatives of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the HCM Communist Youth Union, the Standing Committee of Vietnam Youth Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.

As scheduled, the event will be held at the same time on January 6, 2010 in 11 countries, including China, Russia, Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, the Czech Republic and Vietnam.
