Radio the Voice of Vietnam is the pride of the entire people and armed forces, said Can Van Thanh, Political Commissar of Commando Unit 113 at an exchange with VOV.

He emphasized that VOV has been closely associated with the past struggles for national independence and the present-day process of national construction and defence.

Nguyen Xuan Huy, Director of the VOV Radio Broadcasting Centre, congratulated commando unit 113 on its recent achievements and affirmed that VOV is keen to make army programmes ever closer to listeners.

He said he believes that the exchange will strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two sides.

The exchange was followed by a kung fu performance and an art show to mark Uncle Ho’s 121st birthday and the upcoming NA election.

Established in 1972 in War Zone D in the Southeastern region, Unit 113 has been recognized as a hero unit of the People’s Armed Forces three times (in 1975,1979, and 2000) on account of its exploits.
