Cold spell set to hit northern region

VOV.VN - A cold snap is forecast to hit the north of the country, including Hanoi, from November 27, according to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.

Many areas throughout the northern region are expected to endure heavy rain from the evening of November 27.

This cold spell is also expected to affect the central and south-central region, including from Nghe An to Phu Yen provinces, which are predicted to experience heavy rainfall for three days.

Landslides could also occur in some mountainous provinces. Local authorities have been urged to take measures in a bid to help residents and prevent any considerable damage to people, property, and infrastructure.

The cold spell is forecast to last until November 29.
