Chinese Coast Guard ship visits Haiphong City

The ship, No. 46305, docked on November 10 to begin a four-day port of call marking an important step to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the two coast guard forces. 

The dialogue and training exercises between the forces, said the Chinese Coast Guard, will also help safeguard security in the Gulf of Tonkin as well as peace and cooperation in shared fishing grounds.

During the stay, the itinerary for the 101 officers and crew includes a courtesy visit to Haiphong municipal leaders, friendly sports matches with their Vietnamese counterparts and sightseeing of popular tourist destinations in the region.
