ChildFund International will hold its sixth annual meeting in Hanoi from November 11-16.

Country Director of ChildFund Australia in Vietnam, Peter Walton said the meeting will provide an opportunity to show ChildFund’s work in Vietnam to the wider International ChildFund network.


At the meeting, more than 30 international CEOs and ChildFund International board members will discuss measures to assist hunger eradication and poverty reduction programmes as well as the settlement of poverty issues and the impacts of poverty on children.


Beginning its activities in Vietnam in 1994, ChildFund International has helped Vietnam implement programmes on agriculture, health care, nutrition, safe water and environmental sanitation, children education and protection. At present, ChildFund

Vietnam
is carrying out a programme for more than 20,000 children in Na Ri and Bach Thong districts of northern mountainous Bac Kan province and Ky Son and Cao Phong districts of northern mountainous Hoa Binh province.


ChildFund International is a global alliance for children that provides assistance to the comprehensive development of the community and promotes child rights, especially in areas affected by war, natural calamities and poverty.
