The walk, co-sponsored by Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross and FPT Ho Chi Minh City, started from Le Duan street and went through major streets in the city.
There was also a blood donation programme, attracting more than 1,000 FPT officials and staff at April 30 park. The programme, which will last until April 13, is expected to collect as many as 14,000 units of safe blood.
The two events, which call for public attention to blood donation campaigns, are part of activities in response to Voluntary Blood Donation Day (April 7).
Do Quang Hung, an FPT official, said he took part in both events to lend a helping hand to the unfortunate in society.
“I hope the events will be organized more often so that everybody in our society may contribute to making our life better,” he said.
