Nearly 400 Vietnamese heroic mothers, Agent Orange victims and people who rendered great services to the nation have received free healthcare, according to the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VNRC).

This is part of charitable activities co-organised by the VNRC, hospitals and banks in response to the action month in support of AO victims and poor people with disabilities.


*** Luong Tai district in the northern province of Bac Ninh has 5,400 social beneficiaries, including 2,000 war invalids, 96 Vietnamese heroic mothers and 2,300 war martyrs. Over the past five year, the district has spent VND18 billion building martyrs’ cemeteries and monuments and supporting Vietnamese heroic mothers.


*** According to the Da Nang municipal People’s Committee, nearly 1,000 social beneficiaries in the city have received gifts on the 59th anniversary of the
Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
