Ceramic mosaic mural supported by Taiwan Excellent inaugurated in Hanoi
VOV.VN - A section of a ceramic mosaic mural on Nghi Tam street in Hanoi, supported by Taiwan Excellent, was recently introduced to people in the capital.

The section of ceramic mosaic mural which is located on Nghi Tam street close to Nhat Tan bridge, is 18 metres long and 1.6 metres tall. It depicts the beauty of culture, architecture, and the nature of Taiwan (China).
Painter Nguyen Thu Thuy, who organised the ceramic project, said that the latest section of the mural will act as a friendship bridge between Vietnam and foreign countries. By having a part of the mural supported by Taiwan Excellent, it encourages other international friends to introduce their cultural values to a Vietnamese audience through the road mural.

During the inauguration ceremony a representative of Taiwan Excellent noted their great appreciation for the initiative of painter Nguyen Thu Thuy and the Hanoi Tan Arts Company. In addition, they hoped that the section would strengthen friendship ties between Vietnam and Taiwan (China).
With the latest section inaugurated, Taiwan Excellent have become the second international organisation to support the capital’s artwork, followed by a Sri Lankan enterprise.

With a total length of 1,100 metres, the mural on Nghi Tam street has approximately 300 metres dedicated to artwork of international partners.
The mosaic mural was originally an idea by painter Nguyen Thu Thuy and received full support from the city’s authorities.

It was created between 2007 and 2010 and saw the involvement of 20 Vietnamese and 15 foreign artists, along with 500 children from across the country. In addition, craftsmen from traditional ceramic villages such as Phu Lang, Bat Trang, Chu Dau, and Binh Duong also contributed with some assistance from international artists.
The project runs for nearly four km along the Red River Dyke and features images from the nation’s history, countryside, and traditional craft villages.
