The 157-page book is divided into 5 parts, the late President’s views on such issues as equality among peoples and gender equality as well as his Thought about the current cause of national construction. The book provides invaluable information on Uncle Ho’s life and career, along with a number of his writings and photographs.
“It took me almost ten years to write this book. My first draft was in English and based on my experience and knowledge over the past 20 years. The Vietnamese version was about my great respect for him. This includes what I heard from Vietnamese people, young and old, men and women, from all walks of life. It is about my love for the nation and desire to return to my origins. It calls for greater unity amongst the Vietnamese people,” said Trang.
Another reason for her writing the book was that, most of the books about late President Ho Chi Minh written by foreign authors lack a certain understanding. Her book describes that late President’s thoughts as a guide to constructive dialogs between countries in the 21st century.
Dr. Trang graduated with a Masters and then a Doctorate from the University of British Columbia, she now gives lectures on political science with a particular focus on Asia-Pacific science at Toronto University.
