The Vietnam Fund for Sponsoring Children (VFSC) in coordination with Samaritan’s Purse, a non-governmental organization from Canada, has presented 1000 gifts to disadvantaged children in central Vietnam on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Of the total, 500 gifts were sent to children in Quang Binh province, 300 gifts to children in Quang Nam and 200 gifts to children in Da Nang City from January 16-19.

Samaritan’s Purse recently provided VFSC with over 43,000 gifts valued at US$450,000.

Since 1998, the Canadian charity has spent VND70 billion on humanitarian projects to assist disadvantaged and handicapped children in Vietnam, including projects on cleft palate and orthopaedic operations, school building, calamity relief, and scholarships.
